Born and raised in Barbados, Kevan, at the age of 16 began teaching himself to play the guitar by listening to his favourite tracks and records . Just out of high school, he enrolled in college for a degree in Visual Arts; later leaving to pursue music full time.
To fuel his passion for music, Kevan joined the local circuit and began playing shows in small bars and restaurants where he honed his skills as a performer and singer/songwriter. He was soon performing at bigger shows and events such as "The Barbados Virgin Atlantic Music Festival", among others. Kevan quickly became recognized for his unique sound and voice, creating a fan base both locally and abroad.
This caught the eye of key people in the music industry, leading him to perform for Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, Michael Buble and Sir Cliff Richard, as well as headlining a private event with Olly Murs. He also teamed up with Nigel Wright (Webber's producer) for a studio session where they recorded a demo of covers and original tracks.
In turn, this launched an international interest where he travelled to perform shows in major cities such as New York, London, Toronto, Aspen, and Vienna.
Kevan has ambitious plans for the future of his music and is now focused on writing and recording more of his original content while completing production of his EP.
